Sensitive Fern (Oneclea sensibilis)

 

A distinctive addition to the garden. As a creeping fern, Sensitive Fern is a rapid spreader when it is content (moist, rich soil in sun/part shade), and somewhat less aggressive in average conditions. 

 

Height: 2-3ft

Bloom period: non-flowering

Exposure: sun to partial shade

Moisture: moist

Native Habitat: swamps, meadows, thickets, wet woods

 

 

  • PRODUCT INFO

    Sensitive Fern has thin, papery leaves, often a glowing light green. Leaves have scalloped/wavy edges and turn yellowish in early fall.
